DCMI Virtual 2021 (Oct 4–15, 2021) continued the online conference approachdublincore.org. Hosted by DCMI, it featured keynotes on metadata in the age of data science and workshops on Dublin Core application profiles (revisiting the Singapore Framework in a new era). The 2021 virtual conference also expanded networking opportunities through online panels and “virtual hallway” sessions. While born of necessity, the virtual format proved successful in maintaining the momentum of Dublin Core discussions and included attendees from an even wider array of countries than usual.
