DCMI Education Committee established

2020, with multiple
The DCMI Education Committee was initiated in 2020, with multiple Task Groups established in 2021. There are currently more than 20 members representing over 15 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and Oceania. The Task Groups of the DCMI Education Committee have brought together a range of unique and meaningful outcomes, including webinars, collaborated events in different countries, continuously updated list for the metadata standards and, from 2024-2025, The Metadata and AI Survey of the DCMI Education Committee, which was available in 15 languages and received over 750 full responses. The current chair is Marcia Lei Zeng, Professor at the Information School of Kent State University and the co-chair is Gema Bueno de la Fuente, Associate Professor at the Dept. of Doc. Sciences and History of Science at the University of Zaragoza, Spain.
