DC-2019 Seoul Conference

Seoul, Republic of
DC-2019 in Seoul, Republic of Korea (Sept 23–26, 2019) returned to East Asia, hosted by the National Library of Koreadublincore.org. The conference emphasized metadata for smart cities, IoT, and data science, reflecting new frontiers for Dublin Core. It was also a celebration of Dublin Core’s 25th anniversary, featuring keynotes that reflected on a quarter-century of metadata development. Notably, by 2019 many native RDF implementations of Dublin Core were in use, and the conference had workshops on JSON-LD and DC, as well as reports on the then-just-published ISO 15836-2 standard.
