LRMI Joins DCMI (Education Metadata)

In late 2014, stewardship of the Learning Resource Metadata Initiative (LRMI) was transferred to DCMI. Effective October 23, 2014, the project’s leadership and governance moved from Creative Commons and the Association of Educational Publishers (AEP) to the Dublin Core Metadata Initiativecreativecommons.org. LRMI is a schema for educational resource metadata (integrated into Schema.org) – DCMI’s taking over of LRMI ensured its long-term maintenance and aligned it with Dublin Core’s namespace and processes, expanding DCMI’s scope into the education technology domaincreativecommons.org.
