In 2012 DCMI substantial revised its membership programs, offering a range of options for public and private sector institutions, as well as membership for individual persons from 2013. The objectives were to broaden participation in the work and governance of DCMI, along with contributing financial support. The first program offered was the Institutional Partner, intended for public sector institutions wishing to participate in DCMI governance.
