Recommendation
Dublin Core Qualifiers 1.0 Released
Created, Date
Qualified Dublin Core was formally introduced in July 2000. DCMI’s Usage Committee announced a set of recommended Dublin Core Qualifiers (element refinements and encoding schemes) to enhance the 15 core elementslibrarytechnology.org. These qualifiers (e.g. Date.Created, Date.Issued, etc.) increase semantic precision by specifying context for element valueslibrarytechnology.org. The release of DC Qualifiers marked a key extension of the standard’s expressiveness.
