Australian Government Locator Service (AGLS) developed

In late 1997, the Australian Government developed the AGLS metadata standard as a Dublin Core application profile for government resources. AGLS comprised the 15 Dublin Core elements plus four additional elements for the Australian contextcaara.org.au. This initiative marked one of the first national adoptions of Dublin Core for e-government.
